Bigfoot Hits The Racetrack In Nasquatch From Starburns Industries Press

Two unlikely things will be smashed together like a wreck out of turn four in Nasquatch from Starburns Industries Press. The new series from Kelly Williams and CW Cooke follows Nas and Denny, two guys brought together by their mutual love of racing, cars, and a love of the outdoors. Who cares that Nas is a sasquatch? He’s unbelievable behind the wheel. Denny lives in a trailer park and just wants a better life.

Trevor Richardson of SBI Press says:

This book is the exact kind of fun we’re looking to have in 2019 – mashing up genres in unexpected and hilarious ways with creators we hope will keep coming back to goof off in our playground. I’ve been hunting Bigfoot in the Pacific Northwest for years and these guys found him in a Camaro with an AR-KANSAS license plate.

Williams won the idea of Nasquatch in an arm wrestling match against a chupacabra. He took out the 3 ft, 4 inch malnourished cryptid and then asked Cooke to help to tell this tale. Under normal circumstances it would take ten people to tell this story, but they decided it would be best do it it themselves instead of splitting the money up ten ways. The chubacabra is doing fine. He’s writing the comic and Williams and Cooke are taking all the credit.

Cooke says:

Nasquatch is going to be unbelievably weird and fun. It stars a sasquatch who drives a car, for crying out loud.

Nasquatch will be a digital-first comic debuting in 2019. Fans will get a first look at the character in the Starburns Presents Free Comic Book Day issue. A print trade paperback will be released later collecting the series.

Williams says:

I like sasquatches and I guess comics too. You’re welcome.
